Privacy Charter

We protect the privacy of our Members and respect the obligations set forth by the French Statute 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended and the relevant regulations (“Data Processing and Freedoms Act”). .

The Data Processing and Freedoms Act regulates the collection and processing of personal data.

We remind you that this Charter may be modified from time to time, in particular to reflect future modifications of the Law. In such event, the update will be displayed on this Site and a link will be displayed to quickly access said modifications.

Personal data” are any information about a natural person (yourself) that is either you voluntarily communicate to Swensee or that we collect during your browsing of this Site, once you become identified or identifiable.

Personal Data” encompasses “nominative data” and “traffic data”.

  • Nominative Data” are any information about yourself, personal in nature, that you communicate to us in order to access our Services or when you are registering your Profile.
  • Traffic Data” are information available from or on your computer generated when it connects to the internet and allowing us to identify your computer. These data alone are not sufficient to identify you. They are used for commercial purposes (for instance: advertising) or for authentification purposes for your session (this is a way to ensure that you are the owner of the account with which you wish to open a session).

We inform you that Swensee will ask for your identification on the home page prior to accessing our Services.

The use of Swensee requires the acceptance of the conditions herein set forth.

Data Collected by Swensee

We collect personal data about yourself when you open an account with Swensee, register your Profile, make a payment, and browse on the pages of this Site.

The opening of an account will necessitate the attribution of a password of your choice that you ought to remember. These data are necessary to use your account. It is your responsibility to keep them confidential.

Some data are necessary to access our services. They are indicated by an asterisk or a comment.

The subscription fee to be paid by Members shall be paid by credit card in euros.

We may place cookies on your computer to facilitate your access to this Site. You may review the section on cookies below.

We will never collect or process personal data pertaining to, directly or indirectly, your race, your political, philosophical, or religious views, your heath or sexual orientation.

Data Processing by Swensee

We process your personal data in a fairly and lawfully in the respect of your rights.

The entity responsible for processing these personal data is the company Swensee SAS.

Your personal data may be used for different purposes:

  • Allow the Members to enter into relationships, in compliance with the purpose of this Site, by the communication of their respective backgrounds.
  • Allow statistical studies in which your data are anonymized, except where you have expressly agreed otherwise.

 

End of Subscription

At the end of your subscription and provided you do not renew it, you may ask either the suppression of your account or the conservation of your data in the event of a future subscription. If your account is cancelled, you will lose your log in, which may be used by another Member. You will not be able to access any Service of this Site that would necessitate the opening of a session or the various contents/data you may have posted on this Site. Should you request that your data be saved, they may be hosted by Swensee for 18 months, after which they will be definitively deleted.

If you decide to renew your subscription, the personal data contained in the pages « Profile » and « My account » will be saved.

Transfer of data to non-member third parties

We undertake not to share with or transfer your personal data to non-member third parties except in the following cases:

  • When you have consented prior to said sharing or transfer;
  • When we are compelled to do so by Law or by a court of law.

We inform you that these data may only be transferred to non-EU Member States pursuant to the strict provisions of the Data Processing and Freedoms Act.

Conservation of Data

The personal data that you communicate are kept by Swensee, with the outmost care, for the length of your subscription and, if you request so, for an additional period of 18 months at the end of your subscription.

You Profile will be completely and immediately deleted if you request so.

Right to access, modify, and delete your personal data

We inform you that you have the right to object to the processing of, to access, to modify, and to request the deletion of the personal data collected or processed by Swensee.

You may access your registration data and the data shared with the other Members from the pages « Your Profile ». The data may be modified by clicking on the button « Edit » displayed on said pages. If you are not able to modify your data as above, please email us swenmaster@swensee.com.

If you request that we delete all the personal data whose communication is necessary for your registration and the publication of your Profile, your subscription shall be automatically cancelled without any obligation of our part to reimburse your subscription, even partly.  Your personal data may nevertheless be kept for a limited period of 18 months from the cancellation of your account, so as to prevent any unlawful activity after said cancellation.

We undertake not to use your personal data for commercial purposes.

Security

We make our best efforts to prevent any interference with your personal data such as loss, diversion, intrusion, unauthorized divulgation, alteration, or destruction. This is why:

  • Your Swensee account is protected by a personal and confidential password;
  • The employees working on this Site respect the utmost confidentiality regarding the personal data they may access in the course of their work;
  • Your personal data are physically and electronically stored in compliance with French law.

Notices of updates and modifications of this Privacy Charter

Any modification of our privacy policy, which may modify the conditions of use and collection of your personal data, will be displayed on this Site and you will be informed by email.

Questions, Requests, Suggestions

Any question, suggestion, or request regarding our privacy policy or the processing of your personal data may be emailed to swenmaster@swensee.com.

Non-personal data and cookies

Non-personal data and cookies are solely used to better know our members. These data cannot be used to identify you but are used for statistical purposes such as the analysis of the traffic on our site or of the use made of our site.

1. Non-personal Data

This site may collect non-personal data. These data may be used to analyze the traffic and improve the content of our site by adapting it to your tastes.

As such, we may obtain data during your visit that may not be associated to a particular individual. It can be for instance: origin of the connexions (ISP), IP address, type and version of your internet browser, non personal data regarding your sector, experience level, etc.

2. Cookies

We might also store cookies on your hard drive. The length of conservation of these data does not exceed one year.

The data pertaining to your visit on this Site may be use to generate statistics on the most and least-viewed pages, the favourites itineraries, the activity per day and hour, etc. and are not processed nominatively.
